Whitey Lockman was signed by the New York Giants in

At the age of 19, he hit a home run in his first major league at bat on July 5, 1945.
Whitey played first base & outfield 13 years for the Giants, 1 year for the Cardinals,
1 year for the Orioles, and 2 years for the Red Legs.
